VERA ROBERTSON (nee HINDS) Vera Robertson passed away peacefully at Central Park Lodge, Poseidon in her 95th year on Monday, February 14, 2000. She was predeceased by her husband, J. Ellis; sisters, Blanche Irwin and Marjorie Metcalf; and brothers, Melville and Ray Hinds. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter Janis Corrigall, son-in-law Bill, and grandchildren, Kristin and Todd of Toronto. She was ever the nurse, whether in a professional capacity as one of the first nurses for Trans Canada Airlines in Winnipeg, then later at The Bay, or tending to the many family members over the years. A memorial service will be held Thursday, February 17 at 3:00 p.m. from Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the charity of your choice.
