ANGELA SMUDJ Angela Smudj, age 73 years, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away at the Seven Oaks General Hospital on Tuesday, February 15, 2000. Angela was born in Croatia, April 17, 1926. She arrived in Canada with her young son Drago Koprivic and made her home in Winnipeg. She was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Tavelich Croatian Roman Catholic Church, singing in the church choir for many years. She will be sadly missed by her son Drago of Alberta; stepson Mario and wife Elsie; grandsons, James and his fiance Renanne, Mario Jr.; and great-grandson Shayne. The family wishes to thank all the caring doctors, nurses and staff at the Seven Oaks General Hospital for taking such good care of our mother and grandmother. If friends so desire, donations in Angelas memory may be made to St. Nicholas Tavelich Parish, or CancerCare Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg R3E 0V9. Prayers will be said on Friday, February 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Tavelich Parish, 2688 Main St. with Rev. Fr. Ante Juric, OFM officiating. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Rest in Peace Mother and Baka with all our love and prayers.
