EDNA MAE SANDS After a lengthy illness, on Wednesday, February 16, 2000 at the Charleswood Care Centre, Edna Mae Sands, aged 73 years, formerly of Warren, Man. Born April 28, 1926 in Balgonie, Sask. she had lived in Warren since 1970 owning and operating a cafe and service station retiring in 1988. She was predeceased by her first husband Jack and her second husband Reg. Surviving to mourn her loss, two sons and one daughter Joanne of Winnipeg, Darcy and Barbara of Edmonton, Darren and Mary of Winnipeg; three grandchildren, Timothy, Paige and Katelyn; three brothers, Wilbert and Kay Rumpel, Doug and Beth Rumpel, Mervin and Arlene Rumpel; one sister Lil and Ernie Mang; numerous nieces and nephews. Also predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Emily Rumpel; sister Irene and Wallace Jackson. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 21 at 1:00 p.m. in the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. Mary Best will officiate. The family wish to express sincere thanks to the Homecare workers and Charleswood Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
