JOHN AMBROSE After a lengthy and courageous battle with diabetes and Parkinson disease, John passed away peacefully, Saturday, February 12, 2000 with his loving family at his side, at the age of 78. John was predeceased by his first wife Stella; mother Annie and father Peter; brother Mike; sisters, Anna and Mildred. John will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Betty; daughter Bernice (Len) Jurkowski; grandchildren Ryan and Karen; sisters, Jessie (Harrold) Blaine of Toronto and Kay Richard of Winnipeg; and Johns extended family Tannis and Fred Redekopp, Fraser and Lana McCullough, Alison McCullough and Grant McCullough; grandchildren, Robin, Tommy, Fraser Jr. and Cara. John was raised in Springfield and then relocated to Birds Hill. His happiest times were spent on his farm. He especially enjoyed building and reengineering machinery. He was employed with Building Products for 49 years. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the Glen Eden Reception Centre.
