PATRICE ELAINE SCHULZ Peacefully, after a courageous four year battle with cancer, Pat Schulz was called home to be with her Heavenly Father on February 16, 2000, at the age of 41. She was surrounded by her family and close friends and continued to communicate to us until minutes before she fell asleep. Pat grew up in Winnipeg, and graduated from Windsor Park Collegiate. She loved sports, volleyball in particular, and in recent years, pursued passions such as singing in the choir, working with womens ministries and various committees at church. She loved public speaking and writing, and spent hours visiting with friends. Her strong faith in God helped her through life, and her desire was to always share that gift with people around her. Pat leaves to mourn, yet with many wonderful memories, her husband Pete; her daughters, Taralyn and Sherry, her son Ryan; parents, Tony and Alice Luchik; brother Richard; mother-in-law Mary Schulz; sisters-in-law and families, Sue and Al Armstrong, Monica and Alan Janzen; and nieces. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 19 at 2:00 p.m. at Grant Memorial Baptist Church, 877 Wilkes Ave., with Tom Castor officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bird River Bible Camp. Arrangements by Klassen Funeral Chapel; 338-0331.
