SARAH CALDWELL (nee WOODFORD) Peacefully on February 16, 2000 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, Sarah Caldwell, aged 80 years of Fairford, MB, joined the Lords bouquet in Heaven. Sarah was born in lower Fairford on January 11, 1920. She received her education at the Elkhorn Residential School and Day School at Fairford, MB. Upon completing her studies, Sarah returned home, married and raised six children. She enjoyed to knit, loved to garden, and was known to be quite the traveller. She enjoyed visiting family and friends wherever she went. She will be sadly missed by her family and her many friends she met and made over the years. She is survived by her husband Roy Caldwell; a son Albert (Mildred) Hourie of Vernon, BC; her daughters, Margaret Dzaman, Yvonne Hourie, Grace Walack, all of Winnipeg; a brother William J. Woodford of Winnipeg; eight grandchildren, Nancy of Winnipeg, Vanessa of Arizona, Richard, Dwayne, Merle, all of BC, Sylvia, Ursula and David, all of Winnipeg, numerous great-grandchildren, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, countless family members and many good friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Tom Hourie; her parents, Charles and Nancy; two sons, Joseph and Gordon and a son-in-law Victor Dzaman; three sisters, Ida Pruden, Emma Beardy and Martha Woodford; two brothers, John R. Woodford and Kanon Woodford. A prayer service will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18 at the St. Helens Anglican Church at Fairford, MB. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19 at the St. Helens Anglican Church at Fairford, MB with Father Ron McCullough and Rev. John Letandre officiating. Interment to follow in the Fairford Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Albert Hourie, David Hourie, Donald Caldwell, Dave Caldwell, Art Caldwell, Dwayne Thomas, Marshall Ross Jr. and Stanley Woodford. Crossbearer will be Marshall Ross Jr. The family would like to extend special thanks to Doctor P. Griffin and staff at the St. Boniface General Hospital in Winnipeg for the immediate and wonderful care they gave our mother. Arrangements by: Arnason Funeral Homes Ltd.
