CHARLES WILFRED STEVENS Charles Wilfred Stevens passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2000, at Concordia Hospital at the age of 75. Wilf is mourned by Edith, his loving wife of 51 years and their much loved son, Ken. Wilf also leaves behind his brother Brian and sister-in-law Marion. Wilf was predeceased by his parents Robert and Elisabeth Stevens. Wilf was born in Winnipeg, October 22, 1924, and worked for 35 years at Continental Can/Crown Packaging. He was a founding member of Sherwood Assembly of God, where he served his Lord and the people of the church in many ways. Our "Minister of Transportation" will be greatly missed. Wilf leaves behind many good friends. The family would like to thank Dr. Ismail Mohammed and the nurses, doctors and ICU staff at Concordia hospital for their gracious care. The funeral will take place Monday, February 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Sherwood Assembly of God, 384 Talbot Ave. There will be a viewing at the church one hour prior to the funeral. Cremation will follow with a private family interment at a later date. Donations in memory of Wilf may be made to Sherwood Assembly of God.
