REV. JOHN JAMES SINCLAIR Rev. John James Sinclair of Fairford, Man., went to be with his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on February 16, 2000 at the Lakeshore General Hospital, Ashern, Man. at the age of 82 years. John James is survived by his three children, Lilly (Chubby) Anderson of Fairford, Barbara (Marshall) Woodhouse of Fairford and William (Maggie) Sinclair of Lake St. Martin; his stepchildren, Dorothy Garceau, Wilma (Garfield Sr.) Sinclair, Lambert (Shirley) Shorting, Steve (Judy) Shorting, Hamilton (Christine) Shorting, Johnny (Sylvia) Shorting, Brian (Muriel) Shorting and Donna Shorting; his special stepson Dennis (Maureen) Shorting; 26 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. John was predeceased by his first wife Margaret Sinclair; his second wife Maryanne Shorting; his father William Sinclair; his mother Clara Traverse; his brothers, Charles Traverse, Robert Traverse, Alexander Sinclair and Gilbert Sinclair; his sister, Julia Anderson and Mary Jane Beardy; his sons, Riley Sinclair, Alexander Sinclair and one infant son. John was born on April 22, 1917 and was raised in Lake St. Martin. In 1965 he moved to Fairford, and he was the Pentecostal Minister at the Fairford House of Prayer from 1974 to 1994. He carried on as the host minister of the summer tent revival meeting in Fairford from his predecessor, as well he travelled throughout Manitoba, Canada and the United States ministering and visiting the sick. Even after his retirement John James was still very active in his ministry. Wake services will be held on Friday, February 18, and on Saturday, February 19, at 7:30 p.m. both evenings. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 20, at 12:00 p.m. All services will be held at the Lake St. Martin Pentecostal Church, Lake St. Martin, Man., with Pastor Wilfred Bruce, Derrick Anderson and Jim Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake St. Martin Cemetery. The pallbearers will be, Keith Beardy, Riley Anderson, Robert Sinclair, Lester Woodhouse, Aaron Anderson, Kenny Anderson.
