After retiring from the Federal Civil Service, she took up cycling, cross country skiing and Greek Dancing. Sally loved being outdoors, attending cultural events and her social life at McDonalds where she always took time to speak to small children. To the end, Sally enjoyed her walks and shopping in downtown Winnipeg. Many people from different walks of life will note her absence. Special thanks are extended to the paramedics and police that assisted Elaine with care and support. According to Sallys wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. Rather than flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Ronald McDonald House, 566 Bannatyne Ave., Winnipeg, R3A 0G7. "Peace be with you, Mother."
