SELMA SUTHERLAND (nee THAGARD) June 1, 1916 - February 16, 2000 Selma passed away peacefully at the Golden Links Lodge on Wednesday, February 16, 2000 at the age of 83 years. Selma was predeceased by her parents; her brothers Ray, Gordon and Vic; her sister Flora Ladd; and by her loving husband of 40 years, Ivan, in October of 1982. She is survived by two half-sisters and several nieces and nephews. Selma was born and raised in Winnipeg. She and Ivan were the proprietors of the general store in Victoria Beach for a number of years, where she spent many of her summers growing up. Later she enjoyed many years as a sales-person in the bridal fashion industry. The family would like to thank all the staff of Golden Links Lodge for the love and excellent care they gave Selma; and to Deacon Fontaine for the emotional comfort he gave her.
