SHAWN DAVID ROOT It is with the deepest sorrow that the family announces the sudden passing of Shawn David Root, on February 17, 2000 at 33 years of age. Shawn is survived by his two wonderful children Jamie Shawn, 14, and Jessica Marie Dawn, 12; Giselle (mother of children) Sheldon (brother) Dawn (mother), David (father) Ivan and Isabel Root, Lois Toews (grandparents) Rick (his closet uncle), as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and co-workers. Shawn was born on June 27, 1966, in Winnipeg. He was a very loving, patient and understanding father. He was always able to get through to his children, turning a difficult situation into a happy one. Jamie and Jessica knew that they could always talk to their dad about anything. Shawn was the type of person that could always make you laugh, and always had an unmistakable presence in the room. He was a very kind and giving person who would never hesitate to lend a helping hand to those who needed it. Shawn also had a gift to be able to fix or complete any task around the house, workshop, or garage, making him the perfect person to have around. As a young man, Shawn had a deep love of his God Jehovah and served him as best as he could, however Shawn left his faith, and has always had regrets doing so. Shawn, you will be missed so much by everyone who knew you, and thanks for all the laughter and love you have brought into our lives. We love you. The funeral service will be held on Friday February 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street, with viewing prior to service. Services given by Bro. Kevin Bannatyne.
