WILLIAM (BILL) WOODLEY Peacefully on Friday, February 18, 2000 at the Victoria General Hospital, Bill Woodley passed away, at the age of 67 years. Bill was predeceased by his wife Dorena Chizta in 1975, his mother Daisy (1986), his father Cyril Grant (1957), brothers Harold and Jim, and brother-in-law Jim Edwards. Bill is survived by his sister Mary Edwards, his nephews Grant Edwards, Kirk Edwards and family of Pinawa, and numerous other nieces and nephews. He also leaves his good friends Eric and Bev, Roberta, Barry and Wayne, and his many friends in the Wildwood Group. Bill was born September 14, 1932 in Winnipeg and graduated from Kelvin High School in 1950. He then worked for four years at the Grain Exchange. Later Bill served in Canada and continental Europe in the Royal Canadian Horse Artillery from 1954-1965 attaining rank of Captain. Bill married Vicky Barkwell in 1957 and worked at Eagle Lake Fishing Lodge from 1965-1970 then again from 1975-1981. He drove for Duffys Taxi from 1970-1975 and from 1981 until his retirement in 1993. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Roberta Howden. Service of Remembrance will be held Wednesday February 23, at 12:00 p.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1501 Waverley St. LEATHERDALE GARDINER 1501 Waverley Street 949-4860
