ANTONIE (TONY) LOISELLE After a lengthy illness, on Sunday, February 20, 2000, at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, Antonie (Tony) Loiselle, of Letellier, passed away at the age of 80 years. The funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Laval Cloutier on Thursday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Pie Roman Catholic Church in Letellier. Cremation will follow the service, with the interment of his cremated remains in the parish cemetery at a later date. Tony was born on January 8, 1920 in Letellier, where he resided all his life. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife Alice and her children; his brother Armand (Lucille) sister Marcelle Marcoux; two brothers-in-law, Roger Barnabe and Garnet Kyle; numerous nephews and nieces; his extended in-law family; and many friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Lillian in 1996; two brothers, Marcel in 1929 and Edouard in 1979; his mother Adelaide in 1944 and father Joseph in 1974; sister Rita in 1995; and brothers-in-law, Gerry Genest in 1951 and Leonard Marcoux in 1994. Tony was a farmer at heart like his Dad, and worked closely with him in his declining years. He also loved gardening with his Mom when he was younger. Hockey being his favourite hobby is something he enjoyed as the town goalie all those years, especially in the 1950s with Letellier Maple Leaf League. He enjoyed many years with his first wife Lillian at their winter home in McAllen, Texas from 1973-93, and his many friends. Tonys dream was to go back to recuperate after his big accident, in the warm climate, but unfortunately, it was never meant to be. Heartfelt thanks go to Dr. Manness and the nurses at the Morris General Hospital for their wonderful care over the last few months, and also the Red River Valley Lodge staff for their wonderful care. It was greatly appreciated. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Red River Valley Lodge, Box 507, Morris, MB R0G 1K0, or the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8. Arrangements by the Morris Funeral Home; 746-2451. Your love and moral support at times of great tragedies will always be remembered in a special way. We all thank God for your presence in our lives.
