EVERETT BOND After a brief illness, Everett Bond passed away on Friday, February 18, 2000 at the age of 81, at the Grace General Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Esther of 58 years and all his family. Besides his loving wife Esther, Everett leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Rod (Carol) Bond and their children, Shayne (Tricia) Bond, Wade Bond and J.C. Bond and Vern (Ann) Bond and their child, Kara Nacci (Tom) great-grandchildren, Hailey and Rhianna Bond; brother Rod Bond (Montana) sister-in-law Nell Bond, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. Everett was predeceased by his brothers Manly and Clair (Mildred) Bond; sister Verna (Fred) Parsons; sister-in-law Lou Bond, and parents Myrl and Belva Bond. Everett was born in Winnipeg on November 10, 1918. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion No. 4 in Winnipeg where he and Esther spent many enjoyable hours with friends. He retired from B.A. Robinson with over 25 years of service, and through this working career made many life long friends. Everett and Esthers passion was Lake of the Woods where they enjoyed many years fishing, boating and socializing with friends and family. Everett was famous for his love of animals and spent many hours at the lake feeding the birds, fox, deer, raccoons and ducks which attracted more and more wildlife as the years passed by. Everett was also well known for his big hugs and generous hospitality both at the lake and at home in Winnipeg. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, February 25 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Interment and reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Grace General Hospital, 300 Booth Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3J 3M7. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
