ISIDORE DUPONT (1921 - 2000) On Sunday, February 20, 2000, Mr. Isidore Dupont, aged 78 years of Saint-Georges, Manitoba, passed away suddenly at the Pine Falls Hospital. Isidore leaves to mourn his passing, his sister, Catherine; his brothers, Andre, Paul (Annette) and Jean; a sister-in-law Jeanne; nine nieces and nephews and 15 grand nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Albert (1953) and Febronie (1979), his brothers, Pierre (1935) and Maurice (1998) his sisters, Evangeline (1935), Sr. Marguerite (1998) and Sr. Maria (1999). Isidore was born and raised on a farm in Saint-Georges. Early in life, he took to repairing the agricultural machinery on the family farm. In 1944, after having taken a welding course, he built a garage (Dupont Garage) and started his business of repairing agricultural machinery. In 1994, he celebrated 50 years of business and officially closed his garage. Yet, he continued working to the very end. Isidore was also a handyman; no job was impossible for him to do. He also enjoyed inventing and creating. He would spend hours working on his special projects. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the Saint-Georges Roman Catholic Church with Father Rejean Belanger officiating. Friends may view at the Church prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Saint-Georges Cemetery. The family would like to thank the ambulance attendants.
