Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryETHEL DELLA ROMANUK Peacefully at Norview Lodge, Simcoe on February 20, 2000, to be with her Lord and Saviour, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Samuel Romanuk (1976). Predeceased by her parents, Harold Gilmour (1952) and Nellie May Denholm (1983). Della was born in Flamborough Township, Ont., and later in life lived in Winnipeg, Man. Della and her husband Sam were market gardeners on Henderson Highway, on the banks of the Red River, Manitoba for a number of years. Loving mother of Shirley her only daughter and child and her husband Joseph Scheiring. A brother John Ira and sister Shirley Stapleton predeceased her. Dear sister of Evelyn and her husband George Taylor of Simcoe. Cherished grandmother of Shannon and her companion Paul of Winnipeg, Robert and his wife Nancy of Oakville and Tammy and her husband Luc of Winnipeg, and five great-grandchildren, Meredith, Ellen and Natalie Scheiring and Evelyn and Niall Moline. Very close and helpful to Della, in her later years, were her niece Elizabeth Caswell and her loving sister Evelyn. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Della was very active in church work, when she lived in Winnipeg and was the church organist at First Baptist Church for many years. She will be sadly missed by her sisters-in-law, Evelyn and her husband Bruce Sandercock of Fullerton, CA, Ann McGregor of Winnipeg, Mary and her husband Adam Baryluk of Winnipeg and Anne Romanuk of Henderson Highway, Man. Della will be remembered as a loving and generous mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and will be sadly missed by her family and friends in Winnipeg. The family will receive friends at THE BALDOCK FUNERAL HOME, 96 Norfolk St. N., Simcoe (519-426-0291) on Thursday, February 24 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 12:00 noon, Rev. Allan Burr officiating. Interment: Westover Baptist Cemetery, Westover, Ont. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
