RANDY JAMES SUMNER Suddenly on Saturday, February 19, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre, Randy James Sumner, aged 18 years of Fairford, Manitoba passed away. Randy was born December 1, 1981 in Ashern, Manitoba. He leaves his family and friends to mourn his passing. Randy will be missed by his father Albert; mother Darlene; brothers Kelvin (Charmaine), Valentine (Shawna) and Kevin; his sisters Theresa (Curtis), Rachel (Timothy), Daisy, Martha and special friend Amber Mousseau. He will also be missed by his maternal grandparents John and Rosalie Sanderson of Little Saskatchewan and his paternal grandmother Mary Sumner of Fairford, Manitoba; uncles Clifford (Shirley), Garnet (Cynthia), Clarence, Ronald (Rose), Ivan, Stewart (Karen), Henry (Brenda) aunts Elsie (Cliff), Brenda (Gerald), Florence (Alex), Lucy (Leslie), Shirley (Gordon), numerous friends, cousins, nephews and nieces. Randy had many friends from childhood, especially his cousin Trevor, who considered him as a brother. Randy was always a happy, cheerful and considerate person to everyone who knew him. He always looked for work and did something for his family members. He will be sadly missed by everybody. Randy was predeceased by his paternal great grandparents David and Christina Sumner of Lake St. Martin; paternal grandfather Morris Sumner in January 1989 of Fairford; maternal great grandparents Robert Sumner in March 1988 of Fairford, Jemima Sanderson in February 1978 and Donald Sanderson in March 1978 of Fairford; uncle Valentine Sumner in May 1976 of Fairford. A very special thank you to family and friends, Chief and Council of Fairford and Little Saskatchewan First Nations for their compassion, sympathy and donations for the Sumner family. A wake service will be held on Wednesday, February 23 at 8:00 p.m. The Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Little Saskatchewan Pentecostal Church, Little Saskatchewan, Manitoba, with Pastor Gerald Anderson and Jim Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairford Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Anderson Family Funeral Home, Ashern, Manitoba, 204-768-3606.
