John was born in Tarnopol, Poland on October 12, 1917, to John and Anastasia (Ordynas). He left his family to join the Polish Calvary to proudly defend his country in the Second World War. John lost his twin brother, Boleslaw, in the Warsaw Uprising. He left Poland in 1960 with his wife and two older children to be reunited with his mother in Winnipeg. It was here where John and Wanda were blessed with their third child. Besides his loving wife Wanda of 55 years of marriage, he will be deeply missed by his children, Krystyna (Richard), Robert (Kay), Gloria (Jarek) six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private family services have been held in Winnipeg and Poland. Our family extends special thanks to Dr. and Mrs. Kreml, the Home Care workers, especially Sharon Johnson, for their care and compassion and to the Winnipeg Emergency Response Unit, Paramedics and Police Officers for their valiant effort and compassion. As an expression of sympathy, if friends so desire, donations in Johns memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Johns family has entrusted his arrangements to the care of: WOJCIKS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
