D. ALLAN PHILLIPS
Date of Passing: Feb 26, 2000
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryD. ALLAN PHILLIPS With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather, D. Allan Phillips on February 26, 2000 at Deer Lodge Centre. Besides his loving wife June, he leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Sharon (Jim) sons, Brian (Arlene) and Brock (Karen) and grandchildren, Nicole, Amy, Glynnis and Shannon. Survived by brother Mac (Vi), Doug (Eileen) sister-in-law Alice; and many nieces and nephews. His sister Doris and brother Ken predeceased him. Allan was born in Roland, Man. and served in the Second World War from 1939 to 1945. He worked for CNR for 42 years, retiring in 1978. His favourite place on earth was being with his family and watching the sunsets at the cottage at Brereton Lake. When Allan closed his eyes and stopped breathing, we looked outside and saw the most glorious sunset, the kind that made us think that Allan was now at peace. Allan was a former Director of the Whiteshell District Association. June and Allan loved to travel and visited many different areas of the world including China, Africa and South America. No matter where in the world they went, they always met someone they knew. Flowers gratefully declined. A donation to the Childrens Hospital Foundation, 501 - 840 Sherbrook Street, R3A 1S1, would be appreciated. Memorial service to be held at a later date. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200 www.n.bardal.mb.ca
