It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of their mother and grandmother, Margaret (Peggy) Jocelyn Sr., with her children at her side on Friday, February 25, 2000 at the Grace General Hospital, Winnipeg. Margaret was born in England and came to Canada as a young child spending most of her life in Winnipeg. Over the years she worked at Eatons of Canada and later at the Grace General Hospital, first at their Arlington St. South site and then at their new location at Portage Ave. West at Sturgeon Rd. She is survived by her son, Larry Jocelyn (Margaret) two daughters, Joyce Supeene and Edythe Butterworth (Tom) 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and her niece Kay Skerrit (Doug). Margaret was predeceased by her daughter, Muriel Palmer; son-in-law Patrick Supeene and four sisters, Kath Morello, Winnie Dunn, Florrie Lewis and Nora Leishman. Margaret found fulfillment devoting most of her adult life to her children and her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and contributed many of her leisure hours to volunteer activities. A memorial service will held in St. Patrick and St. Jude Anglican Church, 612 Valour Rd. on Friday, March 3 at 2:00 p.m. A private interment will take place. The family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the medical and nursing staff at Grace General Hospital for their care and compassion during her illness. In lieu of flowers, remembrance may be made to the charity of ones choice. Her memory is our keepsake, From which we will never part, God has her in his keeping, We have in our Hearts!
