Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRHODA SWAIN (nee GOWLER) Peacefully, on Thursday, February 24, 2000, Rhoda Swain passed away at Concordia Hospital. Rhoda was predeceased by her beloved husband Clark in 1971; son-in-law Charles Pickard in 1995; her parents, Matthew and Margaret; brothers, Lochlin, Charles, Albert and Henry, as well as her sister-in-law Gladys. Left to cherish Rhodas memory are daughter Doreen Pickard; grandchildren, Glenn Pickard (Janice), Nadeen Ames (Russ), Tannis Ward (Micheal) and Charles Pickard (Mitzi) and nine great-grandchildren. Daughter Muriel Heselwood (Walter), Corinne Ducharme (Fern), Jim Heselwood (Crystal), Don Heselwood (Elizabeth), Sandra Towers and seven great-grandchildren, as well as her sister-in-law Ella Gowler. Rhoda was born and brought up in Poplar Point, Man. After marrying Clark, they moved to Winnipeg. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 1 at Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Ave. West at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Jeff Cook officiating.
