ALMER "AL" DANIEL PASOSKY With dignity and courage Al lost his battle with cancer on February 26, 2000 at Riverview Health Centre. He left us to join his father (Mike) who predeceased him in 1984. He will be sadly missed by his wife Carol, and their children, Chad (Stephanie and grandson Adam), and Deanna (David Jozsa and grandchildren, Brendan and Sydney). Also left to mourn his passing is his mother (Evelyn) and his sisters, Eleanor Nicholson (Cliff) and Pat Dick (Dave). Al was born June 10, 1945 in Neepawa, MB. He spent the first 14 years of his life in Reeve, MB where his parents operated a country store, post office, bulk oil outlet and a dance hall. He spent his teen years in Neepawa where he developed friendships that were to last him a lifetime. Al worked in the lumber business his entire life and loved every minute of it. His first job was with Beaver Lumber in Neepawa in the early 60s. He also worked for Beaver Lumber at Starbuck and Crystal City. Eventually he moved into Winnipeg to work at City Lumber. His next sales position was with Redekopp Lumber, then Polet, his own business, C/Saw Building Center, Dominion and finally, Star Building Materials. It was probably through the example set by his parents that Al developed a strong work ethic and an appreciation of the importance of loyal customers. Happily for Al, many of those loyal customers also became loyal friends, as witnessed by his family over these last few months. Pallbearers will be Barry Deveson, Rick Sparling, Bill Kostinuik, Terry Kostenchuk, Don Stupak, and Vic Lozinski. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, February 29 at 8:00 p.m. at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church, 135 John Forsyth Rd., St. Vital. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 1 at 10:30 a.m., also at St. Timothy Church. Fr. Paul Campeau officating. Interment will follow at the Riverside Cemetery in Neepawa at 4:00 p.m. Those that so desire, may join the family and friends at the interment. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in memory of Al to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of choice. A special thanks also to all the family members and friends who supported Al and the rest of the family with their time and love during his illness. Dad Our time together seemed so short. The pain and anger so strong. Why must a fine young man be called away so soon! When we look back, we do not see our fathers faults, but only the happiness and joy he brought to the lives of the people he touched. He loved his family very much and was always there for them. Dad we miss you so much! We will always hold the memories that we have shared close to our hearts and those memories we will cherish for eternity. Not only have we lost our father, but also our friend. KNYSH FUNERAL CHAPEL 582-0973
