Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLOUISE (LILY) WHITFORD Peacefully on February 27, 2000 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Man., at the age of 64 years of Amaranth, Man., Louise (Lily) Whitford, widow of the Late Gilroy Earl passed away. Strength dignity and unfailing love and concern for her family characterized her death. Mom (Lily) spent her life in Amaranth devoting her time to our dad (Gilroy) and children and was content doing so. she was especially happy when special occasions occurred because this gave her a chance to do what she took pride in doing. She loved to bake and prepare special meals for those occasions. Joy and laughter fulfilled her days spending time with her grandchildren. The memories we live on with now are of only happy and joyous ones, which our hearts will always be filled with. Lily was predeceased by her mother and father, husband Gilroy; children, Calvin and Bonnie; sister Alma; brothers, Johnny, Peter and Edwin. She leaves to mourn her passing, her children Jeannie of Winnipeg, Shirley (Gerry) of Halifax, Patsy (Julius) of Ebb n Flow, Tony (Olga) of Amaranth, Gail (Loran) of Amaranth, Dwight, Cynthia, Tim of Amaranth, Rosa (Anthony) of Sandy Bay and Donna (John) of Sandy Bay. As well as 35 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brother Roland (Isobel) of Elphinstone; sisters, Florna and Doris of Amaranth, and Mary of B.C., as well as several nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her family and friends. A wake will be held in the Amaranth Hall on March 1, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 2, at 2:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church, Amaranth, Man., with Father Sean Cahill officiating. Interment will follow at Haven of Rest Cemetery, Amaranth. Clarkes Funeral Home, Gladstone in care of arrangements.
