Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLIVE MILDRED JACOBSON (nee PAYNE) On Sunday, February 27, 2000, Olive Mildred Jacobson (nee Payne), passed away at her home at Golden West Centennial Lodge. Olive was born in Bedfordshire, England, on October 18, 1910. The family immigrated to Canada in 1912 and settled in Balmoral, MB. After her marriage to Henry in 1933, they moved to St. James where they lived and raised their family. Olive was predeceased by her husband Henry, eldest son Dennis, and brother Cyril. She will be sadly missed by her children, Joan (Jim) Robinson, Ray (Phyllis), Terry and his close friend Jane, and daughter-in-law Bev. She will be remembered by her grandchildren, Suzanne (Fred), Angela-Joy (Bucky), Christine, Jeffrey, Mitchell, Neil and Erica. Also left to mourn Olives passing are brother Cecil (Shirley) Payne; and sisters, Dorothy Lunney (Albert) and Eleanor Cumming (Jim). Our heartfelt appreciation to the staff at Golden West who truly gave Olive a home and loving friendship and care over the past few years. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 2 at 12:30 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A memorial luncheon will follow the service in the Chapel Lawn Reception Centre. Cremation committal will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Salvation Army, in care of Golden West Centennial Lodge, 811 School Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2Y 0S8.
