EDWIN (TED) WALTER GREENWOOD Suddenly on Monday, February 28, 2000, we lost a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend. Edwin (Ted) Walter Greenwood was born on May 9, 1921 in Indianhead, Saskatchewan, the son of Florence and Oscar Greenwood. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Stella; sons, Ron (Karen), Dexter (Michele), Rob (Roxanne) daughter Jocelyn; grandchildren, Kristin, Teri (Nick), Everett, Bret, Regan, Courtney, Christine, Heather, Kelly, Aimie, and his four-legged friend - Theo. He is also survived by his sisters, Marjorie Jones, Olive Jensen, Myrtle (Jack) Hardie and brothers, Bill (Ann) Greenwood, Don (Lorraine) Greenwood, and his foster family, Lil (Alan) Burns, Doreen (Deil) Dussessoy and Clarence Maskrey. Ted lived a very full and happy life right up to the end. As a young man, Ted went off to serve his country in the Second World War. When he returned, he met the love of his life, Stella. Ted worked for years with DeVilbiss, then in 1972 he followed his dreams to start a successful business, Rondex Limited. He retired from business in 1992, but you could always find him at work on Saturday mornings teaching his grandchildren how to "mix paint." We were fortunate to have a father who at the age of 50 decided to go into business on his own to provide work for his family. At the bottom, youll see a caricature of Ted ... always smiling. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 90, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in St. Norbert. Ted visited families for 35 years at Christmas dressed Santa Claus. In 1979, Ted was one of the founding members of the Arabian Horse Guard with the Khartum Shrine Temple. He was a member of Norwood Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Royal Order of Jesters. Dad possessed a great sense of humour. He loved to "tease" his family and friends and laughed when they teased him back. He always gave of himself to everyone he met. God must have needed another angel to have taken him away from us. We love you. Special thanks to the EMS and Fire Department. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 2 at 11:00 a.m. at the Khartum Temple Auditorium, 529 Wellington Crescent, with Padre Stan Millar officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1L8. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
