JOHN XAVIER LECOY Suddenly, on February 26, 2000, John Xavier Lecoy passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 57 years. He was born at Fort Alexander on August 17, 1942. In his earlier years he enjoyed travelling across Canada working as a miner. He spent most of his life in Winnipeg. John loved to play the guitar and to tell jokes. He is survived by his wife Evelyn and family; daughters, Sally, Diane, Annie and Marlene, all of Winnipeg; step-daughter Tracy of Vancouver; sons, Eric and Calvin of Winnipeg; brother Lawrence "Laurie" and wife Jean of Great Falls; and sister Josephine Cameron of Vancouver. There are numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Xavier and Melanie Lecoy; brother Doug "Buddy;" sisters, Rebecca, Agnes, Dorothy, Isabell and step-daughter Stephanie. John was loved by his family and friends and will be sadly missed by all. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 3, at 7:00 p.m. at the Aboriginal Funeral Chapel, 724 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg, with Fr. Dominique Kerbrat officiating.
