FUNG MEE WU Peacefully on Tuesday, February 29, 2000, at the St. Norbert Nursing Home, Fung Mee Wu (nee Chow) passed away at the age of 94 years. Fung Mee was born in Hoi Ping, China on September 9, 1908. She moved to Hong Kong in 1953 and eventually settled in Winnipeg in 1975. She lived a very full and happy life right to the end and found peace with herself and God. She was loved by her family, many friends and relatives and was known and respected in her community as the "Great-Grandma" because of her extreme love and care towards her great-grandchildren and grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all. She will forever be remembered by her son Yip-Chun (Shui Wah) grandson Terence (Angela) granddaughter Alice (Frank) Wong; great-grandchildren, Roselle, Gabriel Wu, Victor and Joyce Wong. Viewing will be held between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m., Friday, March 3, Kerrs Funeral Chapel, 120 Adelaide St. Funeral service will also be held at the Chapel at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 4. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank all the nursing staff at St. Norbert Nursing Home for their excellent care given to Fung Mee and her family.
