GAETANO DAGUI It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear father, husband, brother, uncle and friend in the early hours of Wednesday, March 1. Gaetano was predeceased by his father Alfredo; sisters, Franca in Winnipeg and Guiseppina in Italy. Gaetano leaves to mourn sons, Alfredo and Gaetano Jr., and their mother Tina; his mother Antonia in Italy; sisters, Catharina and Anna and their families in Belgium; sister Silvana and family in Italy; sister Mafalda and family in Winnipeg, along with many nieces and nephews, close family members and friends in Italy, Belgium and Winnipeg. Gaetano was born January 1, 1942 in Palizzi, Italy. He came to Canada in 1960 and quickly established himself as a master barber. Gaetano was a strong business minded individual who soon became an independent owner. For 35 years he owned and operated a hair salon in Polo Park, along with several business partners. The family would like to thank the St. Boniface Hospital and staff for their care and support during his stay. Prayers will be held on Friday, March 3 at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave., at 7:00 p.m. and a mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 4, at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church.
