Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACK HOWARD HOGAN At the Health Sciences Centre on February 28, 2000, at the age of 69 years, and with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 49 years, Mildred; five children, Jack (Jane), Gerald (Liz), Brenda Yestrau (Herb), Kerry, Glen (Tracy) 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He leaves to mourn his brothers, Chappie, Bruce, Barry; and sisters, Morrisine Bilan and Linda Beaudry. He was predeceased by his brother Brian and sister Mona. Jack met and married Mildred and shared 49 years of their life together. Jack was employed by CN Rail for 49 years, retiring in 1995. During his career, he served as Local Chairman and was elected to the National Board of Trustees of the CB of RT and GW for many, many years. He took pride in helping and making a difference to many of his fellow employees. Throughout his life, Jack was a man who stood up and was counted. His accomplishments and recognitions include Founding Member and Umpire in Chief Metro Fastball League, Executive Position on Manitoba District Labour Council, Bingo Chairman of Union Centre, Board of Directors Childrens Aid, and Board of Directors of CB of RT & GW Credit Union. He will be fondly remembered by co-workers for playing practical jokes at the office (Ceylone Snake!!). He spent many happy hours playing cards with family and friends. We will always remember his favourite quotes such as "one more and thats all", "take this quarter", and "never say goodbye". Chow Dad! There will be a memorial service held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 3 in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, 783-7211. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
