JOSEPH BUCHKO Mr. Joseph Buchko, aged 77 years, of Cloverleaf, Mb., beloved husband of Effie, passed away on Tuesday, February 29, 2000 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. He will be sadly missed by his wife Effie; sons, John (Jo-Anne) and Garry (Nancy) and daughter Mary Anne; sisters, Anne Fosty, Julia Krawchuk and Olga Mazur. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Anne Buchko; brothers, Walter and Bill; and sister Mary Shuel. Prayers will be said on Friday, March 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sobering Funeral Chapel. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, March 4 at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Park Avenue E., Beausejour, with Rev. Fr. John Sholdak officiating. Interment will follow in the Eastdale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Garry and John Buchko, Steve and Richard Fosty, Rene Crognali and Paul Warywoda. Joseph was a hard working man, a carpenter by trade, who loved to farm. He was most comfortable seated on top of his John Deere tractor. He always enjoyed a game of cribbage, a good book, or curling with his friends. Never one to refuse a helping hand to all his friends and neighbours, his charitable nature will be sorely missed. He will always be remembered and loved by his wife, family and friends.
