Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM ROBERT YOUNG Peacefully on Saturday, February 26, 2000 at Riverview Health Centre, after a lengthy illness, with family at his side. Bill leaves to mourn his loving wife Anne (Macks) his daughters, Gail Potts (Roger) of New Cumberland, PA, Phyllis Bjorkstedt (Robert) of Westchester, PA, Susanna Killourhy (Daniel) of Scarsdale, NY, his sons, William, Jr. (Pastora) of Miami Lakes, FL, and Timothy (Lynn) of Winnipeg; two sisters, Sheila Bloomer of Winnipeg, Susanne Law (Robin) of Toronto. Also survived by a sister-in-law Margaret of Plumas, MB; two stepchildren, Alice Scott of Langley, BC and Randolph Emisch of Pemberton, BC; 15 grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five nieces and eight nephews. Bill was predeceased by sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Douglas Hunter formerly of Bermuda; his parents, William George and Susanna Craig Young of Winnipeg. Bill was born on December 30, 1922 in Winnipeg and attended Kelvin High School; served in the R.C.A.F. in Iceland during the Second World War. He had a career in plumbing sales and in later years he worked as a Project Co-ordinator at the Health Sciences Centre. Bill enjoyed a lifetime of summers at the lake in Minaki, ON and winter vacations with family in Florida. He enjoyed fishing, swimming and playing cards with friends and family. He will be fondly remembered as a gentle, kind and compassionate man. The family wishes to thank the staff of 4 East and CD1 at Riverview Health Centre for their support and care. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 3 at 10:00 a.m. at Riverview Health Centre Chapel, One Morley Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bills memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Riverview Health Centre Foundation or charity of your choice.
