AVIS RACHEL RIACH (nee STOWE) Peacefully on Tuesday, February 29, 2000, Avis Riach passed away at the age of 74 years. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 53 years, Alvin; daughter Carolyn (Ken) son Greg (Marian) and four grandchildren, Kerry (Jackie), Corinne (Thorsten), Chad and Jessica; one brother Earl and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by parents, William and Violet Stowe and three brothers, Charlie, John and Cecil. She was a very special mother and grandmother and her life centered around her family, always there to help out. Family gatherings were a special time for her and she will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank Dr. Pat Harris and the nursing staff at the Grace General Hospital. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 4 in the Greenridge United Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Lesley Calder officiating. Interment to follow in South Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
