LILLIAN MINTO SPEARIN (nee GILES) With sadness we announce the passing of Lillian Spearin on February 26, 2000 at West Park Manor, Winnipeg, Man. She is survived by her only daughter Janice and her husband Allan French and her only granddaughter and kindred spirit Susan Arlene French. She was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by Jan, Al and Susan as well as her sisters and brothers-in-law, Edith Bradt, Doug and Margery Spearin, Cec and Doreen Spearin; her nieces and nephews, Penny Bradt, Jim, Howard (Cathy) and Glenn Spearin, Rod (Sally), Kathy (Jim Hurst) and John (Robin) Spearin; her cousins, Keith and Helen Pettapiece and June and Gordon Walker and by the cousins and friends who considered her their honorary Aunt Lill. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be conducted in Rivers United Church, Rivers, Man. on Saturday, March 4, at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. Glenna Beauchamp, with a time of fellowship to follow. For those in Winnipeg who would like to remember Lillian, you are invited to an informal gathering on Wednesday, March 8, at West Park Manor, 3199 Grant Ave. anytime between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lillian may be made to the Rivers United Church, Box 44, Rivers, Man., R0K 1X0, or to a charity of your choice.
