BRENDA JOY McGREGOR (nee HOWLETT) Following a brief illness and courageous battle, Brenda Joy McGregor, beloved wife of Glen McGregor of Winnipeg passed away at the University Hospital in London, Ontario on March 1, 2000. She was 38 years of age. Brenda was born in Calgary, Alberta on August 14, 1961. She was raised and received her education in Alberta before moving to Winnipeg. In 1986, she met Glen McGregor and in 1988 they were united in marriage. This union was blessed with two children, Ashley and Darren. Brenda loved hockey, spending time with her family at the lake, and enjoyed making all sorts of crafts. She will be remembered as an honest, straight forward and strong-willed person who would "take no prisoners" in any cause that she tackled. Brenda leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her loving husband Glen; her children, Ashley and Darren; her father Rev. Kenneth Howlett of Etobicoke, Ont.; her mother Helen Howlett of Winnipeg; sister Dawn Howlett of Vancouver, B.C.; brother Steve Howlett of Winnipeg; and her mother-in-law Helen McGregor of Winnipeg. She is also survived many other relatives and good friends. Brenda was predeceased by her father-in-law Ronald McGregor and brother-in-law Scott McGregor. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her family and many friends. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 8 at 12:30 p.m. from Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. Cremation committal will follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
