Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCES KNYSH Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was called to God peacefully at the age of 80 on Thursday, March 2, 2000, at Calvary Place Personal Care Home. God looked upon His garden And found an empty space Then He looked down upon the Earth And saw your tired face. He put His arms around you And lifted you to rest Gods garden must be beautiful For He only takes the best. God saw the road was getting rough And the hills were hard to climb He closed your weary eyes And whispered, "Peace to Thine." A golden heart stopped beating Hard working hands to rest God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone For part of us went with you To Gods garden, your new home. Frances is now reunited with her husband John; parents, Victoria and Stefan Baliant; brothers, William, Peter and Martin Baliant and sister Josephine (Jessie) Sokoloski. She will be lovingly remembered by her three daughters, two sons and their spouses, Bernice and Ron Komar, Stephanie and Gerry Cole, Adeline and Ray Johnson, Orest and Sandra, Paul and Joy. Frances was a loving and proud grandmother of ten grandchildren, Brian, Charlene, Hugh, Cherie, Jamie, John, Jacquie, Brad, Tammy, Garret and two great-grandchildren, Dallas and Robert. Frances also leaves to cherish her memory her beloved sister Katherine (Kay) Sokolowski. Frances was born in Meleb, MB on March 21, 1919. She received her education in Meleb and married John Knysh in 1940. Together they farmed in Meleb until 1947 at which time they moved to Winnipeg. Frances devoted her life to nurturing her children and grandchildren. She had a generous heart and a gifted hand with handicrafts and cooking, sharing her creations with family, friends and those in need. She was a devoted parishioner of her church, St. Josephs and particularly enjoyed the fellowship she found amongst the St. Josephs Seniors. Frances was known by all whose lives she touched as an energetic person with a natural expertise in horticulture. She took great pleasure and pride in sharing with others her plants, gardening knowledge and bountiful harvest. Her family and friends will always remember her home filled with lush greenery and blossoms, her yard with impressive vegetable and flower gardens. Prayers will be held on Monday, March 6 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., with Fr. John Sianchuk C.Ss.R. officiating.
