Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRIEDRICH MOLZAHN After a lengthy illness, Friedrich Molzahn peacefully passed away on March 1, 2000. He reached an age of 90 years and 9 months. His first 42 years in life were quite hard. Living through two world wars and being forced to move between Poland, Russia and Germany made life sometimes quite miserable. In 1952 he immigrated to Canada. Fred was born on June 10, 1909 in Poland. On June 1, 1930 he married Amalie Gerke and had a happy marriage for almost 70 years. Since his arrival in Canada in 1952 he worked for Perth Dry Cleaning until his retirement in 1975. Also in 1952 he joined Immanuel Pentecostal Church where he was a very active member. He was much involved in both church building programs. Many of the existing church fixtures are a reminder of it. He was a very good father, husband and grandfather, his grandchildren especially enjoyed visiting grandpas workshop. He was always willing to help. For the last four years, after a stroke, he was confined to a wheel chair and lived at Tuxedo Villa Care Home. As family, we want to thank all the nurses and staff of STN1 for their kindness and good care, they gave to Opa. It was much appreciated. Also special thanks to Willi Oertel, a good friend from church, who spent almost every lunch hour helping to feed Opa. God bless you for it. Left to mourn Freds death are his wife Amalie; three children, Otto with wife Cecelia, Erna with husband Art and Selma with husband Art; ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren plus many friends and relatives. The funeral will be held at Immanuel Pentecostal Church, 955 Wilkes Avenue, Winnipeg, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 6, with viewing one hour prior to service. Pastor Erhard Buss officiating. Interment Brookside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Orphanage Home of the Good Shepherd or the Immanuel Pentecostal Church Building Fund.
