GORDON FREDERICK GILLESPIE March 31, 1926 - March 1, 2000 With profound sadness, the Gillespie family announces the passing of their good friend, husband and father. Gordon is survived by his wife of fifty years, Elsie; son Bruce (Alison Preston) daughters, Patti (Campbell Alexander), Janet (Doug Rodie), and Lois; and his sister Pat Gagnon. He was a wonderful grandfather to Charmaine and Sean Rodie. Gordon was predeceased by his father George Gillespie; mother Mary (Egan) sisters, Val and Eileen. His love, generosity, humour and good advice will be remembered in the hearts and minds of his extended family of relatives, friends and business associates. Gordon was a talented professional engineer whose legacy lives on in many construction projects throughout Manitoba. He lived in Winnipeg all his life, loved the city and supported many local arts and sports organizations. He followed the citys progress with genuine enthusiasm and concern. Cremation has taken place and Gordon requested no service. We will remember his living presence. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gordon Gillespies memory may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Winnipeg Humane Society. A gathering for family and friends will take place later in the spring.
