JANET McSPARRON Jen (Janet) McSparron passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2000 at Golden West Centennial Lodge. Jen was born and raised in Winnipeg, the eldest of three children. She loved music and played both the accordion and the piano. Jen spent much of her working life employed by Canadian National Railway. She loved train travel and frequently rode the Super Continental to soak up the British feel of Vancouver and Victoria. Jen was proud of her British heritage and regularly travelled to keep in touch with friends and relatives in both Scotland and Ireland. Jens faith was strong and as long as she was able, she regularly attended services at Elim Chapel. Jen was predeceased by her mother Mary (1955) father William (1970) younger sister Gladyce (1966) and brother-in-law Roy (1980). Left to mourn her passing is her brother Bill and sister-in-law Mary of Edmonton. Also nieces Penny of Edmonton, Laurie (Pat) of Toronto, Patricia (Gunter) of B.C.; nephews, Roy (Pat) of Winnipeg and Rick of Edmonton. Jen also leaves behind great nieces and nephews. The family wish to extend their special thanks to the staff at Golden West Centennial Lodge. Service will be held at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Monday, March 6, at 12:30 p.m. with a reception to follow.
