GOLDYE STERN In San Francisco, March 3, 2000 age 88 years, wife of the late Louis Stern; mother of Farron (Martin) Brotman of San Francisco and Mel Stern of Winnipeg; grandmother of Ilana (Neal) Tandowsky, Stuart (Elizabeth) Brotman, Brenley (Kevin) Morris, Alisa (Joe) Faria, Linsey and Dana Stern; great-grandmother of Blake and Olivia Tandowsky and sister of Rosalie (Harry) London. Goldye was predeceased by her siblings, Sam (Ethel) Birks, Sarah Simces and Betty (Ernest) Billinkoff. Goldye was the matriarch of her loving family and her home was always the centre of family activities. A resident of Winnipeg for over 70 years, her children were honoured by having her live with them the last two years in San Francisco. She endured the challenges of failing health with courage and humour. She will be sorely missed and never forgotten. Graveside service at Hebrew Sick Cemetery, McPhillips Street, Tuesday, March 7, 11:00 a.m.
