Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryABRAHAM (ABE) PETKAU Abe Petkau went to be with his Lord and Saviour, early Sunday morning, March 5, 2000, at the Park Manor Personal Care Home, Winnipeg, Man. Abe was born April 18, 1914 at Rush Lake, Sask. He leaves behind a legacy of generosity, ingenuity and a strong love and commitment to his family and friends. Remaining to forever cherish Abes loving memories are his wife Mabel (nee Letkeman) one daughter Sharon (Ken) five sons, Cecil (Gladys), Glen (Marsha), Maurice (Shirley), Todd (Carolyn) and David (Sandra) two grandsons, Michael and Derek; eight granddaughters, Bonnie, Elizabeth, Amy, Brittany, Kaitlyn, Jessica, Sarah and Carley; three stepgrandchildren, Anne, Kathy and Cheryle; four great-grandchildren, Mathew, Marc, Melonie and Cassidy. He is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Edward Letkeman and Millard Evenson and by three sisters-in-law, Betty, Ann and Kay. Abe was predeceased by his parents Jacob and Helena; his first wife Olga; two brothers, Peter, Isaac and one sister Helena. Viewing for Abes family and friends will be held on Wednesday, March 8 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m., in the Wojciks Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Ave. at Sharp Boulevard, as well as prior to his Funeral Service which will be held on Thursday, March 9 at 12:00 p.m., in the McIvor Avenue Mennonite Brethren Church, 200 McIvor Ave. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. Our family would like to express a sincere thanks to all the staff at Park Manor who diligently cared for Dad these past years and a special thanks to Noel, Bob, Linda, Rita, Karen and the rest of the second floor team. God bless you all.
