LILLIAN MRYGLAD (nee Stepko) With deep regret, the family announces the passing of Lillian Mryglad on Friday, March 3, 2000 at the Health Sciences Centre. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 48 years, Ernest; sons, James and Donald; sister Patricia and her daughter Karen and family; sisters-in-law, Lillian and Doris; nieces, Sharon and Cheryl and their respective families and Uncle Joe (Olga) in Toronto. Numerous relatives and friends across this country will also share our loss. She was predeceased by her father Walter; her mother Mary; brother Jack; brothers-in-law, Ron Artes and Nick Rey and sister-in-law May Rey. Born in Winnipeg, Lil attended Lord Nelson School and Isaac Newton High. After their marriage, she and her husband spent the next 42 years in Toronto raising their family and earning a living. On retirement, they returned to Winnipeg in 1992 to join family here. Lil had a great fondness for animals and all living things. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting and derived great pleasure from family vacations in Mexico, photographing and videotaping with fondness the land and its fine people. We extend our special thanks to all the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital (ICU) that provided such exceptional loving and tender care during her illness. According to Lils wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 8 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Lils memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8 or the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, R3C 0S6 or to the Seven Oaks Hospital Foundation, 2300 McPhillips St., Winnipeg R2V 9Z9.
