Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRONALD MEYER Ronald passed away at Grace Hospital on March 3, 2000 after a short illness. He was predeceased by his mother and father; two brothers, Alec and Fred. Ronald was devastated by the loss of his only son, Randall Lee, in October, 1998. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Kathleen; daughter-in-law Gabrielle Meyer; grandchildren, Jesse, Kyle, Bretton and Devon. Ron was a loving father and grandfather and dedicated his life to providing his family with a nice home and all the amenities of life that he could give. He spent much time with his son in community hockey and in his retirement years devoted himself to his grandchildren of whom he was so proud and loved so dearly. He is survived by his nephew Allan Meyer (Betty) of San Diego, nephew Creighton Murphy (Fern) of Nanaimo, BC, niece Dana MacKinnon (Sandy) of Port Coquitlam, BC, and numerous other nieces and nephews. Ron was born September 30, 1922 to George and Katharine Meyer. At age 18 he joined the Princess Pats Light Infantry of Winnipeg and was sent overseas in 1943 and served in four theatres of war in Europe. On his return to Winnipeg in 1946 he resumed his employment with the C.P.R. and worked there for 46 years until his retirement. Ron was well liked and respected by his fellow employees and loved by his many friends. Ron had many fond memories of the Creighton family who took him into their hearts and he became truly one of the family. He had a keen sense of humour. On his retirement, Kathleen and Ron decided to spend the winter months in Mesa, AZ. They made many friends while there and took many trips from Mesa to Mexico, California, Florida. We love you Dad and will remember all the things you did for us as a family. Our only regret is that your last years were spent at Deer Lodge and you were denied the happiness of living in your home of which you were so proud. Rest in peace, you fought the good fight to the end. We will love you always. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Ave., entrance on Aubrey Street. Viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Interment to take place on March 10. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Rons name to the charity of ones choice. The greatest thing youll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return. Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
