(IRENE) SHIRLEY HUFFMAN On March 6, 2000 at St. Boniface Hospital, Shirley, aged 73 years. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband of 48 years Cy; daughter Marilyn (Randy) Lindquist and grandsons, Mark, Eric and Matthew; son Glen (Debbie) and granddaughters, Kayla and Robyn. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law Earla; brother-in-law and wife Harvey and Evelyn; two nieces; three nephews and their families; other relatives and many friends. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Jim and Catherine Gray; her brother James and sister Elizabeth (Lil). Shirley was a longtime member of Regents Park United Church. She was an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels for over 25 years, the St. George School Breakfast Programme and I.O.D.E. She was a member of Patricia Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star for many years and was also active with her Retirees group from the Federal Government where she was employed. Her love, care and concern extended to all of her family and her many friends. She will be sorely missed by all and fondly remembered as someone beautiful that passed our way. A memorial service will be held at Regents Park United Church, 613 St. Marys Rd. on Thursday, March 9, at 3:30 p.m. A private family interment has taken place. If friends wish, donations in Shirleys memory can be made to Cancer Care Manitoba, 100 Olivia St., Winnipeg, R3E 0V9.
