FREDERICK PAUL Peacefully, surrounded by his family, Fred passed away at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg on March 5, 2000. Fred leaves to mourn his mother, Margaret Paul; his sisters, Dorothy (Gilbert) Beardy, Beatrice (Robert) Missyabit, Shirley (Fred) Sumner and Lorna (Chris) Meaniss, his brothers, Kenny and Raymond (Lizzie) his sister-in-law Ruth Paul, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Napoleon Paul in March of 1990, and by his aunt Mary, who took him as her own. Fred was born and raised on the Lake Manitoba reserve. He moved to Winnipeg in 1970 and obtained a certificate from the Red River Community College. He worked for Wheelchair Services until his failing health forced him to retire early. Fred was kind and always happy and willing to give help to anyone who needed it. He will be missed by his family and friends. The family would like to thank the ambulance attendants and the staff at the Health Sciences Centre Emergency for their efforts, as well as Pastor Richard Sanderson for his support at the hospital. A wake service was held on Tuesday, March 7 at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be held at the Dog Creek Chapel, Lake Manitoba Reserve, with Pastor Richard Sanderson officiating. Interment will follow at the Lake Manitoba Cemetery. The pallbearers will be his nephews, Michael Paul, Guy Paul, Christopher Missyabit, Eric Maytwayashing, John Donovan, Mark Paul.
