HAROLD MARTIN GREVSTAD Peacefully, on March 4, 2000 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli, with his wife by his side, Harry "Hole-in-one" Grevstad passed away after a lengthy illness. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Joan; his children, Jeff and Sandra; grandson Anthony; brothers, Art, Bill and Jerry and many, many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Anna; his first wife and mother to Jeff and Sandra, Gloria; brothers, Oscar, Melvin and Dale and sisters, Alva and Doris. Harry was born in Mulvihill, Man. on January 20, 1925. He enlisted in the RCAF along with his brothers for wartime service. He re-enlisted from 1950 to 1959 serving as a Microwave/Radar Technician discharged with the rank of Sergeant. He then worked with Computing Devices of Canada until 1969, when he and his wife Gloria moved to Winnipeg to exercise their entrepreneurial spirit, retiring in 1980. A Remembrance Ceremony will take place on Friday, March 10, at 1:00 p.m. in the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, Gimli, with Legion Padre Ray Sutton officiating. Special thanks to Dr. Chapnick and the staff at the Johnson Memorial Hospital for their unparalled compassion, care and empathy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Johnson Memorial Community Health Centre Fund, Gimli, MB, R0C 1B0. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli, in care of arrangements.
