JEAN KORMAN (nee PALAMAR) Suddenly, with her family at her side, Jean Korman, age 91 years, passed away at the Seven Oaks Hospital, on Saturday, March 4, 2000. Jean was born January 5, 1909 in Ethelbert, Manitoba. She met and married her husband Harry Korman, October, 1932 and they lived and farmed in Ethelbert until his demise in October, 1963. Mom was a great seamstress and an avid gardener, and won a few awards for best country farmyard. Jean loved music and singing, and sang in both church choirs and seniors citizens choirs. In her senior years, she enjoyed playing bingo. She was a loving mother and grandmother and her family will miss her dearly. Jean leaves to mourn two daughters, Helen Starr and son-in-law Thomas, Eileen Dalman and son-in-law Dennis; grandchildren, Robert Starr and wife Keely, Norma-Jean Starr and Derek Dalman; special friend Anne Mymryk. Besides her husband Harry, Jean was predeceased by her parents, Steve and Annie Palamar; her sisters, Ella Palamar and Rose Bilowus. Special thanks to the staff on the third floor, Unit 5 at Seven Oaks Hospital for their kindness and compassion. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 8, at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Luxton Avenue with The Very Rev. Fr. Henry Lakusta officiating. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her sons-in-law, Tom and Dennis; her grandchildren, Derek and Robert, Tom Podruchny and Tony Dudar.
