KEVIN DOERKSEN It is with our deepest sympathy that we, the family of Kevin Doerksen, announce his untimely passing, at the age of 31 on March 6, 2000. Kevin was predeceased by his father Jake, on October 22, 1988. He is survived by his loving mother Lois; sisters, Kristi (Steve) and Kelly (Fred) nephews and nieces, Justin, Jemini, Jayda and Jacob and by a very special family friend Tony as well as a great number of aunts, uncles and cousins. Kevin was born and raised in Winnipeg. Until his sickness he was employed with Kleysen Transport. He was a wonderful son, brother and friend, and will be deeply missed by all. His sense of humour will be greatly missed. Up until his sickness, Kevin loved the outdoors, he loved hunting, fishing and showing off his car. He was the greatest son, the greatest brother and the greatest friend, and he never deserved this fate. Many thanks to all of Mom and Kevins friends for their love and support during Kevins battle. Also many thanks to Orit Weber, Bunty Anderson, Dr. Rothova, Dr. Jones, Dr. Forester and to all the people he met at the support group meetings he attended. Special thanks to his two hospital buddies, Greg and Gord who helped make his stay more pleasant. Also thanks to all nurses and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital. Flowers are gratefully declined. Please send donations to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 9Z9, so a cure can be found. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. at Luxton Avenue, with Rev. Peter Cain officiating. Interment to follow in Transcona Cemetery. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 586-8044.
