CECIL FREDERICK EDWARDS Past President of Dominion Malting Company Past President of Canadian Malting Company Suddenly on March 6, 2000, at his home in Winnipeg. Cecil was predeceased by his wife Yvonne (Salmond) in 1997. He is survived by his son John (Jane) and daughter Louise (Ted) grandchildren, Michael, Matthew and Robbie Edwards and Teddy and Stewart Higginbotham, and brother Rex Edwards. Cecil was born in Regina, Saskatchewan in 1927. His career in the grain business took him and Yvonne to Winnipeg in 1950 and to Toronto in 1978. Cecil and Yvonne retired to Victoria, B.C. in 1989, and returned to Winnipeg in 1996 to be closer to their family. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated. Funeral service will be held on Friday, March 10, at 10:30 a.m., in Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway, with Rev. Caryn Douglas officiating. Interment will follow in Garry Memorial Park.
