MARIE M. MCINNES (NEE JOHNSTON) Peacefully on March 2nd, 2000, after a lengthy illness, Marie Marshall McInnes passed away at the Golden Door Geriatric Centre, at the age of 78. Left to remember her with love are her daughter Cathy Wilson, son-in-law John Wilson; grandson Kyle Wilson of Winnipeg, and son John McInnes of Edmonton. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 1976. Marie was a wife and mother first, but she always worked at the Victoria General Hospital in various positions after graduating as a registered nurse in 1943. After retirement she enjoyed trips to Hawaii and summers at the "beach". She was delighted when grandson Kyle arrived in 1989. He was the light of her life. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has already taken place. Private family interment will be held prior to a reception at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue on Saturday, March 11, at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society.
