ANITA KAREN PEACH It is with deeply felt sorrow that the Peach Family announce that Anita Karen Peach passed away, after a courageous year and a half battle with cancer on Wednesday March 8, 2000 at 12:15 a.m. She is deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends. Karen is mourned by special love, Gary Borkowsky and her children; Heather Howe of Vancouver, Robert Pennington of Red Deer, Lori Peach of Winnipeg and Lisa Peach-Chapil also of Winnipeg; her parents, Dorothy and Jack Peach of Halifax, Nova Scotia; her siblings, John Peach, Kathryn Peach, and Paul Peach, all of Nova Scotia; her grandchildren, Stephen Peach, Brian Woodard-Peach, Paige Peach, Stephen Pennington, Aurielle Peach, Jordan Pennington and Angelique Chapil. Karen was born April 26, 1946 and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Although she had moved from the region many years ago, she carried with her a deeply felt love for the natural beauty and warm character of the Maritimes. Karen was an active volunteer in Winnipegs Arts Community. She looked forward to this environment with joy and contagious enthusiasm. She also loved nature and whenever possible spending time outdoors. Karen devoted her life to the care and nurturing of her family. The family would like to thank the Nurses at the Grace Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their kindness, the loving care with which they attended our Mother, and for their sympathies. Thank You. The viewing will be held from 1:30 till 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 12 at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church, 201 Scurfield, followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. Should friends so desire donations may be made to the Winnipeg Folk Festival. She passed to all who knew her, a profound respect and love for life. We love her and miss her.
